Managed the construction of a Magnetite iron ore tailings storage facility as part of a mining services agreement with Karara Mining WA ($80M capital).
- Part of the negotiation team preparing the contract and service agreements with suppliers and client;
- Developed detailed construction plan including delivery of equipment and critical spares;
- Assisted OEM & sub-contractors with development and implementation of a safe system of work including HAZOPs;
- Developed commissioning and training plans for maintenance and operations teams – “Readiness to Operate” (RTO);
- Achieved zero LTI’s during project;
- Developed preventative maintenance plans and critical spares assessment;
- Achieved a controlled budget despite significant scope and schedule changes imposed by the customer; and
- Successfully implemented technology for the stacking of dry iron ore tailings at a rate of 14.2 million tonnes/year to a height of 95 metres without compromising existing operations.
