Managed the construction of an iron ore crushing and screening as part of a mining services agreement with OneSteel Whyalla SA (Total capital $8M).

  • Carried detailed review of contract and service agreements with suppliers and client;
  • Developed detailed construction plan including delivery of equipment and critical spares;
  • Assisted OEM & sub-contractors with development and implementation of a safe system of work including HAZOPs;
  • Developed commissioning and training plans for maintenance and operations teams – “Readiness to Operate” (RTO);
  • Achieved zero MTI’s and LTI’s during project;
  • Developed preventative maintenance plans;
  • Completed installation and commissioning of plant on schedule (including installation of 6.6kV power supply and kiosk)

  4. Develop equipment troubleshooting skills and procedures;
  5. Establish site access and communications protocols;
  6. Develop operating protocols around emergency operations;
  7. Develop emergency response and tailings handling for major plant shutdowns – emergency storage options, emergency mobile stacker (THOR), trucking;
  8. Set up on-line self-paced refresher training, and
  9. Confirm suitability of all mobile equipment – move from lease to own as required;
